These terms cover your use of TriviaFall, made by StrathWorks Ltd ("we", "us"). By using the app or website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use TriviaFall.
The service
TriviaFall is a trivia game available on Android and the web. It's under active development — features, topics, and question content can change, and some features (like Group Rooms) require a signed-in account.
Accounts
You can play anonymously, or sign in with Google to unlock account-based features like leaderboards, friends, and Group Rooms. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. Display names must follow the in-app naming rules; we can rename or remove a display name that breaks them.
Acceptable use
Don't use TriviaFall to harass other players, attempt to cheat or manipulate scores/leaderboards, reverse-engineer the app to bypass its protections, or use it in a way that breaks the law. We can suspend or delete accounts that do.
Question content and reports
We try to keep questions accurate, but mistakes happen. If you spot one, use the in-app report button — that's genuinely how we catch and fix issues, not a formality. We don't guarantee any particular question or topic will remain available.
Ghosts and bots
Some matches are played against a recorded run from another player ("a ghost") or a practice bot, not a live opponent. The app always tells you which before a match starts, and TriviaFall will never present a ghost or bot as a live human.
TriviaFall Plus (in-app purchase)
TriviaFall Plus is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that removes ads and grants a profile badge, tied to your signed-in account rather than a specific device. Payment is processed by Google Play Billing; refunds are handled per Google Play's own refund policy, not by us directly. If you sign in on a new device, use Restore Purchases in Settings to recover your entitlement.
Advertising
Free play in TriviaFall is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Ad frequency and personalisation are subject to your consent choice — see the privacy policy.
Availability
We aim to keep TriviaFall running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We can change, suspend, or discontinue features (including the service as a whole) with reasonable notice where practical.
No warranty, limitation of liability
TriviaFall is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, StrathWorks Ltd isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that can't be excluded by law (for example, liability for fraud).
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time — see how to manage or delete your data. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and, where required, ask you to accept the new terms before continuing to use account-based features.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
